Menstrual Hygiene Management

1000hugs Foundation recognizes the fundamental importance of menstrual hygiene management as a critical factor in the well-being and education of girls. To address this, the foundation provides a range of services:

  • Distribution of Sanitary Pads: The foundation supplies both reusable and disposable sanitary pads to girls in need, particularly in underprivileged communities and schools. This initiative helps reduce absenteeism among girls during their menstrual cycles, enabling them to continue their education uninterrupted.
  • Menstrual Education Workshops: These workshops are designed to educate girls on menstrual health, the biological aspects of menstruation, and proper hygiene practices. The foundation also provides training on the safe use and disposal of sanitary products.

Community Outreach and Advocacy: The foundation engages with parents, teachers, and community leaders to destigmatize menstruation and promote supportive attitudes towards menstruating girls. This outreach aims to foster a community environment that is knowledgeable and accepting of menstrual health issues.
